In Irwin near the turnpike. if you take arona road out to the end. the bp will be on your right..you turn right onto route 30 and at the end of the guardrail you make a right down the road to the shop. the addy is 7900 route 30 irwin,pa 15642. pretty easy to get to.

Tire Changes

I'm right in Robinson for anyone that needs tires or tire changes out this way. I charge members $15 off the bike and $20 on the bike for mounting and balancing. I also always charge $5 over cost on street and dirt tires all year round. Scott/SB CYCLES 412.458.1128

Does anyone know a tire shop that can vulcanize ( hot patch ) a tire..?? I picked up a deck screw in the middle of the tread on a new tire last year. Valley Tire in Charleroi has done truck tires for me but they can't ( won't ) do bike tires. Might be a liability thing?

I plugged the tire at the time but didn't want to continue to ride with a plug in it. Do you think if I trimmed the plug smooth on the inside and then put a patch on it, it would work?? I just can't through a $300 tire out!

Safe Repair???
What if you Patched the Tire on the inside, Then Put a Tube in it???
Couple of days Later Re considering answer.
After I wrote this I started to think of Cord damage ie. Structural Damage to the Tire.
Life is worth a new Tire!!
Don't mean to preach!!
Just how I feel!!
